With more than fifteen years of professional experience, she has built an international career as a dancer, teacher, performer and artistic director, specialising in Swing, Lindy Hop, Solo Jazz and Blues. Her work has taken her to festivals, schools, productions and creative projects in Spain and abroad, training hundreds of students and collaborating with artists from many disciplines.

As a performer and choreographer, Elisabet has taken part in stage shows, film productions, advertising campaigns and cultural events, bringing an artistic vision in which sensitivity, expression, technique, emotion, interpretation and narrative are central. Her approach combines precision of movement with a deep attention to detail, creating work that can move an audience, speak to it and stay with it.

Her training in Fine Arts widens her creative language beyond dance. Painting, photography, illustration, set design and artistic direction as well as writing are all part of a career in which the different disciplines speak to one another to build coherent visual worlds and immersive experiences.

Elisabet Solo has been a self-taught dancer from a very early age, aware of it, and a driving force and fervent defender of having an identity of one’s own in dance.

Technique comes from emotion, from the need to find, to reach, to tell. Expression is authenticity in action, gestures are the architecture of silence, movement is the voice of the body, rhythm is the beating of your own heart. We are both music and instrument. Elisabet Solo

Among her most notable projects is the creation and artistic direction of the Winter Black Swing Festival, an international gathering that since 2014 brought together dancers, musicians and artists from different countries for years, and which is still going today. That project confirmed one of the qualities that best define her work: the ability to turn an artistic vision into a collective experience with real cultural and human impact.

Throughout her career she has combined making art with teaching, convinced that art, together with music and dance, is a powerful tool for connection, learning and change. Whether on stage, in the studio or leading a creative project, her aim stays the same: to dance, to be. And for that to help other people find the same freedom of spirit.

Her passion for music, for beauty, for expression, for movement and for the body–brain–heart connection keeps guiding a career devoted to bringing to life projects where art becomes a space for meeting, expression, freedom and change, in direct connection with music and rhythm at the centre of everything she does.
